Regarding Rarestone issue on 'Best Hero Tournament' and our work Dragon Nest NA

Dear Heroes,

First of all, we would like to reiterate our sincere apology for any inconvenience that has been caused by the 'Best Hero Tournament'.

We take full responsibility of what has occurred by the Rarestone dropping issue from the 'Best Hero Tournament(BHT)' and we found out that recommunicating and sharing the reason of the event, our work to resolve the situation is necessary to make our heroes to give a clear picture of the whole event and work to dissolve confusion.

As you have read and all aware, we have faced a technical issue with regards to the BHT rewards; Burning Passion Pouch which includes 3 Rarestones has been dropped chance of 100%, after the update patch has been completed. After we have confirmed that it was a bug, our team moved with a sense of urgency to work with the devs to conduct our own detailed review of what happened.

The situation has been unfortunately compounded when the heroes cleared the BHT inordinately, and generated enormous amount of gold by selling the Rarestones.

Like we have notified our heroes from the first notification, we had an urgent maintenance from January 11th, 6:45PM (PST) / 9:45PM (EST). During the maintenance, we have removed Rarestones rewards from the 'BHT', retrieved Rarestones and gold from selling those Rarestones.

The total amount of gold in Server is around 290 million and The total amount of gold from selling Rarestones from BHT was summed up to be around 26.5 million gold and those who mistreated the BHT was collected to be 404 characters, 152 accounts. We have followed procedures to deal with this situation, to seize up the economic damage that has been expected to arise.

During the ban period, we have collected, sorted out in order to wipe out the remaining gold from selling Rarestones from the characters who have cleared BHT more than 2 times. The withdrawn amount of gold sorted out to be around 21 million gold. The remaining gold is around 1.7% of the total gold amount in the server, which is not limited to be distributed to individual wealth but floating and scattered in marketplace etc. And we came across that the remaining gold will not impact the server.

Like most of our heroes, we were also upset to see and hear about the result and the incident that has been surrounding us for a while. We will always remember this and will continue to ensure how we can please our heroes.

Once again, we apologize for any disappointment and this will never happen again.
